2005 - Founding in Haridwar

  • Founded in 2005 by Mr. Prashant Gupta, beginning operations in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
  • Started with a modest warehousing facility focused on trading solvents in small drum quantities.
  • Quickly became a reliable "Just-In-Time" chemical supplier, delivering 2-3 drums daily to local factories.

Expanding Our Portfolio

  • Growing demand led to a significant expansion of our product offerings.
  • The portfolio now includes a wide range of imported solvents like Toluene, Iso Propyl Alcohol, and Phthalic Anhydride.
  • This diversification allowed us to offer a broader product range at highly competitive prices.

New Warehousing & Growth

  • Expansion continued with the establishment of new warehousing facilities in Rudrapur and Gwalior.
  • This strategic move accelerated our growth in both sales volume and product variety.

Manufacturing Excellence

  • In 2019, Mr. Gupta initiated the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kanpur.
  • Completed in 2021, the facility marked our transformation into Sagar Chemicals Private Limited (SCPL).
  • The plant began producing Ethyl Acetate, with a monthly capacity of 1500 MT.
  • By 2025, with full automation and digital systems, we added N-Propyl Acetate to our manufacturing portfolio.

Looking Ahead

Now, with the next generation joining the legacy, Mr. Harsh Purwar (27, MSc in Project Management and Innovation) and Mr. Krishnam Purwar (23, MSc in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainability) are bringing fresh energy and expertise to SCPL. Their leadership is set to take the company to new, more efficient, and more sustainable heights.
